Ayanamsa |
A term used to describe the degree difference between sidereal and tropical zodiacs. The sidereal system is always aligned with the fixed stars, the tropical aligned with 0 degrees Aries. An exact value of 24 degrees [difference] was computed by Fagan and Bradley in 1950, but there are a large range of different values in use. The ayanamsa moves approximately 50” a year. |
